Flight Plan For Life Keynote lasts 60 to 90 minutes and is available in English or French

Canada’s top military Fighter Pilots are confronted with constantly changing, challenging, and hostile conditions that require split-second decisions. These decisions must be smart, accurate, and thorough, or it could cost them their lives. While our young people are not embarking on fighter pilot combat missions, they are setting out on the most critical mission of all—Life. They are learning who they are. They are learning right from wrong. Every day, this mission can be filled with critical, life-altering decisions.

The goal of Afterburner’s Flight Plan for Life program is to help today’s youth realize that they are the pilots of their lives—not the passengers. We believe that whatever dream young people have can become reality by making it their own Mission Objective. Our program demonstrates to youth how situational awareness helps them to make smart decisions when they are confronted by life’s ever increasing challenges. The program acts as a compass for young people, providing them with needed direction. It also arms them with tools and techniques Fighter Pilots use to get successful outcomes from their missions. We show young people how they can apply these same tools during critical points in their young lives to achieve successful outcomes in life.

During the 90-minute Flight Plan for Life experience, an Afterburner Canada fighter pilot will inspire young people to set goals, plan their life and careers, and avoid the distractions and pitfalls that can derail them. The high-energy, multimedia presentation, available in English or French, will show them how fighter pilots accelerate the learning process and avoid costly mistakes. The program focuses on increasing wise decision-making and safety awareness in each person. The program leader will introduce the youth to a new process of thinking—keeping the awareness of consequences at the forefront of their minds. The focus is not only on physical safety, but also on responsible decision-making that will help kids achieve their personal goals. At the conclusion of the event, each young person will fill out a personalized Flight Plan, which will help them stay "locked on" to their mission objectives.
